“Touch” combines photography and video in a VR installation. My “touch partners” or I trigger a photograph to be taken whenever one of us wants to bookmark a moment during an interaction. The videos are a record of what we choose to capture and the moments in between, when we have dropped the remote control. It is an exploration of embodied care and interdependence with cherished partners in various relationships. The project enables (and depicts) learning and healing and dissolves boundaries of coupledom, love and sex, pleasure and nurturance, participation and performance.
